To strengthen dairy sector in the Indian market, our Gannaur Dairy Farm came into existence in 2003. The basic objective was to explore technical inputs like Artificial Insemination, to improve the breed of animals, animal health services, preventive disease treatment and awareness regarding farm management etc. In nutshell it was Necessity for Production Enhancement in the Indian market and hence we established the same.
Extreme dairy breeds such as the Holstein-Friesian have been bred to produce very high yields of milk. Around 32 litres per day is typical in our dairy farm. This is an increase of 30% from what we use to get ten years ago.
The whole project is being envisaged in an area of 35 acres, out of which the company owned 23 acres of land is used for the cattle breeding and its maintenance. 12 acres of land is on lease, which is judiciously being used for yielding of organic fodder with the use of organic manure produced at our own farm. |
